I consent to Tumbo using my ID number to verify my Locality registration and retrieve my voting station details from the IEC and my place birth at Department of Home Affairs. I consent details from the IEC and Department of Home Affairs to be used as the proof of resident.
Your ID number is sensitive personal information under POPIA. We will only use it to verify your voter registration with the IEC place of birth at DHA.
What we'll do:
Use your ID number to check your Locality registration status with the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC)
Retrieve your voting station location and ward information
Display this information and use it as the verification of your location
Your data protection:

✅ You can delete this information from your profile at any time
Optional data storage: After verification, you can choose to save your voting details in the Tumbo App for quick access. This is optional and you can remove it anytime in your profile settings.
